These Roseate Spoonbill illustrations were inspired by visits to the natural bird rookery at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm, where roseate spoonbills nest among herons, egrets, and other wading birds overlooking Florida’s coastal salt marshes. Observing and photographing these remarkable birds in their natural habitat allowed me to capture their graceful movements, distinctive spoon-shaped bills, and vibrant pink plumage.
Every design begins with my own photography and firsthand experiences exploring Florida’s diverse ecosystems to celebrate the beauty and character of the wildlife that makes Florida such a special place.
Whether you’re a birder, nature enthusiast, or simply appreciate Florida’s incredible wildlife, I hope these illustrations bring a little of that wonder into your everyday life.
This pairs well with the "Spoonbill Flapping" design.
