This illustration was inspired by the cockleshells I find while exploring the beaches of Northeast Florida. They are among the most abundant shells along this stretch of coastline, creating colorful mosaics across the sand in shades of creamy white, rusty orange, and, every so often, a striking charcoal gray.
Every design begins with my own photography and firsthand experiences exploring Florida’s beaches and natural landscapes. I carefully hand illustrate each piece to capture the textures, colors, and quiet beauty of the natural treasures that make Florida’s coastline so special.
